Have you been putting off learning guitar for years? You’re not alone, and you’re exactly who our Philly Guitar Workshop was made for. This isn’t a traditional class with homework and pressure. It’s a weekly, hands-on guitar workshop in Philadelphia where beginners and intermediate players come together every weekend to learn, improve, and actually enjoy the process. The workshop meets every Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. and costs just $75/month–an affordable, low-commitment way to finally make playing guitar a real part of your life.

Show up any Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. at Rawk U School of Music in East Falls, Philadelphia, and start learning from our experienced music teachers.
Acoustic or electric, both are welcome. Not sure what you have or need? Reach out before your first session and we’ll point you in the right direction.
You’ll jump right in alongside other beginner-to-intermediate players. The instructor guides the session, but the energy comes from everyone in the room–expect to leave with new ideas, new skills, and maybe a few new friends.
There’s no fixed end date and no long-term commitment. Come every week, or fit it into your schedule however works best. The workshop runs on an ongoing basis, so you can stay as long as you’re growing.

Your voice is an instrument, too, and pairing vocal training with guitar is one of the most powerful combinations in music. Our voice students build the confidence and stage presence to front a band, connect with an audience, and make every performance memorable.
Ready to take your playing to the next level? Our Grace the Stage rock band program brings musicians together for a 6-week intensive that culminates in a live performance. Available to active Rawk U students with at least 6 months of experience.
Not at all. The workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate players, so if you’ve never played a note, you’re in exactly the right place. We’ll meet you where you are.
Yes, please bring your guitar to each session of our group guitar lessons in Philadelphia. Acoustic and electric are both welcome. If you’re not sure what kind of guitar to get before your first session, contact us and we’ll help you figure it out.
Private lessons are one-on-one with an instructor and fully personalized to your goals. The Philly Guitar Workshop is a group setting: more affordable, more social, and great for players who thrive in a community environment. Many students do both!
No. There are no contracts and no minimum commitment. It’s month-to-month at $75/month, and you can continue as long as you’d like. We just ask for a little notice if you decide to stop.
Life happens. Since the workshop is ongoing, you can simply pick back up the following week.
The workshop is open to beginner and intermediate players of all ages. If you have a child who’s interested in learning guitar, our private guitar lessons in Philadelphia are a great fit for young students.
